The Verona Pizzeria and Restaurant

Slight wait for my food upon arrival but that was to be expected as it was the second day open for them I believe... Anyway the staff was all extremely nice and my food was well worth the wait! I got the Panini Milanese and it was deleicous! It had generous chunks of seasoned chicken that was cooked just right and had a crisp to it that kept me going back for more. I will definitely be back in the near future to try out something else on the menu!

I am a transplant from NJ where in my former area there are literally hundreds of truly fine restaurants if you include NYC. Since moving to Eastern Ct some time ago I have been whining about the relative lack of really fine authentic food. Comparisons are odious I suppose but missing the opportunity to really "dine" has been one of the downsides of my relocation. Last night we discovered "The Verona" in Granby about 45 minutes from our home. We found it to be truly exceptional in every respect. I had Chicken Francaise, one of my favorite standard Italian dishes. It was absolutely perfect. It came with a nice salad, wonderful bread baked by the chef on premises and pasta with a red sauce the was infused with sweet basil and of course made with San Marzano tomatoes. You choose your own pasta made to order. I guess I sound like a shill because I am so impressed with Chef Mario and the staff. I assure you that I have never met these folks nor do I have any connection with their business. I am just an old guy in his eighties who loves to cook. I have dined in many places in the world and I assure you that this modest restaurant in a shopping center in Granby is worth driving a long distance. Also the music was soft and pleasant and the place was spotless. All this for what I think was about $23.00. I can't wait to go back.

Wonderful food, I really did enjoy it! They make the food quick and always tasting good! I have to try dine in experience at somepoint!

Very good pizza! We order here maybe once every 1-2 weeks!

This is a wonderful place for grinders, Stromboli and pizza. A month ago we got eggplant grinders which were so good. The grinder bread was so delicious and sandwiches were so tasty. My husband enjoyed the huge veggie Stromboli. It was big enough for 2 people to eat! Today we tried the veggie pizza and Joe’s Favorite pizza. Both are vegetarian pizzas but each had their own type of toppings. They were delectable. We especially enjoyed the Joe’s pizza because of the delicious garlic flavor. We are so happy with the food we have so far tried at The Verona Pizzeria. Each time we go, the food gets better!

Excellent pizzeria that Granby had sorely been missing. The pie is fantastic and I think at $16 for a cheese, very affordable! The few specialty pizzas we've had have also been a great balance of flavor without overpowering the full pizza. The grinders on takeout have been solid and really pack some weight behind them. Lastly, inside looks and feels clean which is reassuring compared to other restaurants I've seen. Would highly recommend and can't go wrong for a Friday night takeout.

We went to Verona Pizza last week. It was the best pizza we have had in a very long time. The sauce and the crust were delicious. We will definitely go by. This will be our new go to pizza place.
